Let's Get Cooking Badge

1. Keeping it Clean:

2. When in Doubt, Throw it Out (Sun. 11/21/10):

A health educator friend of mine says that you can keep food for at least three days before it becomes dangerous to eat. Picnic foods left out more than one hour should be thrown out because they are not safe to eat. To keep your food safe, keep cold foods cold by putting them in a cooler with ice, and keep your hot foods hot. Cut melons should be kept cold because harmful bacteria can grow and make you sick.
